Junior master exhibitor guidelines
Junior Master Exhibitor Program
·This program is designed to recognize Junior d’Anversbreeders and exhibitors accomplishments in showing d’Anvers in the Junior portion of a show as well as to reward continued education, participation in shows, and overall promotion of d’Anvers and exhibition poultry. The Junior Master Exhibitor Program is not variety specific and all points from all varieties shown are cumulative.
· When a Junior exhibitor earns 6,000 points, over a period of any number of years before turning 18 they will be awarded Junior Master Exhibitor Status.
· Points can be earned from both shows and participation in the educational, promotion, and participation aspects of the Junior Exhibitor Program. Of the 6000 points needed to be awarded the Junior Master Exhibitor award 1500 must be from show participation. The remaining 4500 can be from any combination of shows or additional programs.
· Points towards Junior Master Exhibitor do not carry over to the Open Master Exhibitor Program offered by the BBDCA. Points earned by a Junior Member competing in the junior portion of a show shall apply to their totals towards the Junior Master Exhibitor Program. Any points earned by a Junior competing in the open show will be tallied for that Junior towards their Open Master Exhibitor Award given that all rules pertaining to the Open Master Exhibitor program are met.
· Points towards Junior Master Exhibitor either earned from junior show wins or do not expire, however Junior Members will be unable to earn points towards this award after they turn 18 and age out of the junior show.
Points are earned according to the following:
· Best Of Variety: 10 points x Number of d’Anvers shown IN THAT VARIETY
· Reserve of Variety: 5 points x Number of d’Anversshown IN THAT VARIETY
· Best of Breed: 15 points x TOTAL D’ANVERS SHOWN
· Reserve of Breed: 10 points x TOTAL D’ANVERS SHOWN
· RCCL Champion 100 points
· RCCL Res. Champion 50 points
· Champion Bantam: 200 points
· Reserve Champion Bantam: 100 points
· Show Champion: 300, Reserve show: 250 points (when standards and/or waterfowl are present) · Supreme or Grand Champion: 400 points, Reserve 350 points · Champion Trio: 25 points · Reserve Trio: 50 points
· Only 1 Junior Master Exhibitor Award prize will be given to a member.
· When Junior Master Exhibitor status is achieved they will be listed in the next newsletter and posted on the BBDCA website.
·AOV Points
AOV points shall be added to Master Exhibitors totals only. No Master Breeder points shall be given to any AOV.
·Points:
·Best AOV = 10 points X total number of AOV entered.
·Reserve AOV = 5 points X total number of AOV entered.
·If judging fails to choose a Best or Reserve AOV or if Best or Reserve AOV are not marked on show report sheet no points shall be given.
In addition to points for wins junior members will be awarded the following points for their continued education and or participation in promoting d’Anvers and Exhibition Poultry.
· Participating in Showmanship: 50points
· Submitting and article to the club secretary for the newsletter: 100 points
· Volunteering, working, or assisting with an APA and/or ABA sanctioned show (examples could include helping to set up or break down the show, clerking, working concession stands): 100points
· Acquiring a d’Anvers Breeder mentor: 100 points · Joining The American Bantam Association, The American Poultry Association, or The Youth Poultry Association (YEPA) : 75 points each · Completing YEPA educational project books: 100 points per book
· Giving educational talks to poultry clubs, 4H Clubs, school clubs pertaining to d’Anvers and/or Exhibition Poultry: 50 points
